Schmidt and Haberman Double rifle drilling.
8x60R/8x60R/16ga. 40 pieces of correct rimmed brass and dies are included with this fine gun. The 8x60R is slighty more powerful than the 8x57 Mauser and was developed post WW1 when folks thought that the treaty of Versailles was going to prohibit the 8x57 cartridge. The bores are .323 diameter. This is a gorgeous piece with cocking indictors and full fancy Germanic engraving of Boar and Stag. Barrels are perfect, and the wood is quite nice with figure, small ebony diamond insert at the top of the pistol grip. The checkering is flawless too. LOP is 14.25” to a thick black pad. Barrels are 25.5” long, unique rear sight mounted in the rib. Claw mounts bases but no scope. This rare classic gun was originally marketed by H Zehner, a prominent gun dealer of the era with shops in Suhl, Berlin and Frankfurt. It carries their name on the rib, and the names of Schmidt and Haberman who actually built the gun on the receiver bottom. It is in incredible condition and ready for your next hunting adventure.
