Description:
Serial #3638, 9.4 x 21mm, 4 3/8? octagon barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a small amount of mild freckling within the grooves near the muzzle. This is a rare revolver and retains 80% plus of an armory re-applied blue finish with some mild silvering along the high edges and projections as well as plum-brown freckling on the rear of the frame and on the cylinder. There are some scattered small areas of pitting along the left side of the barrel as well and, save for a small ?(crown)/B? stamp on the left side of the frame just behind the recoil shield, the frame is devoid of the usual markings. The wooden grips are in fair condition with the heavy wear and usage marks indicative of tropical use including a large chip and some short hairline cracks on the right panel surrounding the lozenge-shaped grip screw bolster. As one would expect, the rugged Chamelot-Delvigne action functions flawlessly and the revolver rates very good plus condition overall. These revolvers are very hard to find with any sort of condition and this example is very nice indeed. FFL or C&R
