Description:
Serial #20177, .22 RF, 2? barrel with a good, lightly pitted bore. This is a diminutive pistol, one of the smallest of the American cartridge deringers, and has a bright gray metal side-swinging barrel with some light pinprick pitting and mild freckling on the right side of the breech and at the muzzle. The brass frame has turned to a dull ruddy ochre patina while the grips are original but heavily sanded with a ground brass nut in place of the original round screw bolster on the right side (the bolster is no longer present on the left side). The pistol is still fully functional and is in good plus-near very good condition. These are seldom seen little pistols and this one would make a nice addition to any collection of small frame pistols or gambling paraphernalia. Antique
