Description:
24" barrel with full-band hooded front sight, full band swivel base, 1 standing and 1 folding express sight marked for 100 & 200 yards on a sculptured island base. Stocked by Gary Goudy in figured walnut with flush-inletted-widow's-peaked ebony forend tip, double recoil crossbolts, classic wrap-around point pattern checkering with mullered borders, beaded pancake cheekpiece, steel pistol grip cap, vacant silver oval, inletted and pedestalled rear swivel base and Silvers red rubber recoil pad. Metalwork by Steve Heilmann, including polished controlled-feed Model 70 action with built-up and checkered bolt stop, 5-panel checkered bolt knob, one-piece Blackburn-type bottom metal with hinged straddle floorplate and machined alloy follower. Engraved and fire-blued screws and crossbolts. Straw-tempered extractor. Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x36mm matte-finish scope with fine duplex reticle in fixed Talley rings on custom bases. Pull: 13 1/2". Weight: 8lbs, 13oz. Also with interchangable extra fibreglass stock. Recently completed and virtually new.
