Winchester Thumb Trigger Model 99, chambered in .22 Short Long and Extra Long. These rifles were manufactured from 1904 thru 1923. The Thumb Trigger is similar to the 1902 with no trigger guard or trigger and fire by depressing the a lever behind the cocking piece. This original finish is worn off of the stock and has had finish oil applied to protect the wood. The metal only has patina on it, as these are scarce because they were used by kids mostly back then. So they did not always get the best treatment or care.
