Description:
I have for sale an Arrieta Model 578 in 12 gauge. This particular gun has 27 1/2 inch barrels which are choked .006 and .0011 for loose improved cylinder and tight improved cylinder. Rib is flat and hand file cut. Bores are chromium plated. Straight English grip stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 1/4 X 14 1/8 over the original checkered butt. Stock has drop points, excellent checkering, and very nice grain pattern on both sides. Forend is splinter with nice checkering as well. Finish is hand rubbed oil. Rib is flat and hand file cut. Very nice hand cut (not hand chased as many guns are today) rose and scroll engraving on the case hardened receiver. Double triggers with the front being articulated. Strong and well timed ejectors. Barrels are very well struck and have a deep blue finish. Locks are hand detachable and firing pins are bushed. Weight of the gun is 6 pounds 12 ounces.
This gun appears in every way to be unfired and comes from a collection of mostly unfired guns. I can find no marks of any kind on the gun. It is simply as new as a gun can be without being taken from the box for the first time. Price of this super nice side by side from one of the best Spanish makers is $4000 plus actual shipping to your FFL. Sorry, no case or paperwork with this gun.
