Here is a rare opportunity for you to own two pieces of Colt history in one lot. These ANVZ anniversary guns were produced by the Colt Custom shop and were limited to 100 total guns. They were offered in 4 different levels of engraving, A,B,C,& D. These are so rare that single guns rarely show up for sale. These 2 fine pistols both sport the level C engraving, and according to Colt records, only about 30 of the 100 guns were C engraved. As the were the flagship anniversary gun for the Colt 1911 100 year anniversary, the hand engraving is beautiful, the deep high polish blue is mirror like, and the real Colt Custom Shop Ivory grips are stunning. As you can see, the lettering and serial number in gold inlay. These two consecutive serial number beauties are #9 and #10. They are probably the lowest serial numbers that got past the sticky fingers of the Colt execs. The last recorded sale of a ANVZ "C" engraved gun was $11400.00 for a single pistol.
