Description:
This is a new Sako 85M Finnlight ST in .30-06 Springfield. When conditions turn unfavorable, the Sako 85 Finnlight ST Rifles refuse to back down. The stainless steel barreled action and internal parts, along with the synthetic stock, perform even in the worst of weather. Because synthetic stocks weigh less than wood, recoil is felt more. To counteract this, the FinSoft rubber recoil-pad system absorbs and dissipates recoil away from the cheek. The reinforced black polymer stock has been treated with soft-touch surface treatments and features delicate gray-patterned grip surfaces. The stock features over molded grips for secure hold. All Sako 85 models have free-floating barrels manufactured by the specialists at Sako. Barrel blanks are drilled, honed, cold-hammer-forged and finished and inspected. Twist rate for this rifle is 1-11 to optimize accuracy and bullet performance. Barrels have a nonreflecting satiny finish. Stainless steel barrels are reinforced with increased chromium content for strength and weather resistance. Sako's extractor claw is made of durable heat-treated steel. When the bolt brings back the case, it is ejected out of the rifle by the active mechanical ejector fork. The ejector sits in the rear bridge bottom as opposed to the bolt face. The bolt is one piece for first-class durability. The single-stage trigger is adjustable from 2.2 lbs. to 4 lbs. It has a two-position safety with separate bolt-release button, integral tapered scope-mount dovetails, and 5-shot MOA guarantee on all Sako rifles.
