Clean Enfield made by SAVAGE, with a Savage bolt, with a P proof and the British proof on the underside of the olt. The frame also has a British proof from LEND LEASE. This rifle has a clean bore. Side of the frame marked: US PROPERTY. The stocks are clean with a few minor scrapes,and much better than most, and is hand rubbed finish on America walnut . Action is smooth, and the metal is war-time greyish color. Many of these were sent to CANADA for their military use.Some made it to England and were used on D Day invasion, This gun is a good shooter, and collectible since it was made by Savage for the wartime lend lease program.The Savage made barrels had the tightest tolerance of all Enfields made during WWII. .SN 81C2511, a good shooter.
