Description:
Beautiful Greener Unique Ejector 12 bore “G” Gun with steel 30” nitro proofed barrels chambered for 2-3/4” cartridges. Cased with Greener snap caps and other accessories. Serial number 39577. Made in 1892. Refurbished recently by Thomas Bland & Co. this fine double epitomizes the height of Greener’s innovative gunmaking skills. Excellent mechanical condition. Gun weighs 8lb. The case coloring is authentic and the bluing is also in very good condition. It is a very desirable gun to collect and to shoot. *** Stocked in a nicely figured piece of English walnut with straight grip and splinter forearm. Forearm has ebony tip. Finish is in good shape with a few handling marks(see photo near safety) and gun has crisp checkering on stock and forearm. Stock dimensions are 14-1/2” to a checkered butt by 1-5/16” by 2”. Slightly cast off for right hand shooter. *** The 30” original steel barrels are nitro proofed for 2-3/4” cartridges and topped with a cross-hatched raised solid rib. Finish is in very good condition with a few small scratches from normal use. The right barrel is bored 0.744 with a constriction of 0.042 for Full choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.039. The left barrel is bored 0.743 with a constriction of 0.042 for Full choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.038. *** This fine and somewhat rare Greener is in excellent mechanical condition and is highly shootable. A great gun for the connoisseur collector, Vintager events, clay and game shooting. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection and will only accept returns if gun is not as described. *** See this great gun and other fine doubles at the MacNab booth at the Southern Side-By-Side at Backwoods Quail in Georgetown, SC on October 23rd – 25th 2015.
