Type is modified oversize AR15 gas operated semi-automatic rifle. Caliber is .308 Winchester, 7.62x51 NATO, call it what you will, THE .308. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, trigger, and internal parts built into a 7029-T6 alloy receiver. The stock is a standard A2 black Zytel Mil Spec with trap door assembly. Handguard is fluted black anodized alloy, Colt 6724 style, and allows the barrel to free float. Barrel is 4140 chrome moly steel 18 inch heavy bull type, .920 outside diameter, 6 groove, right hand 1:10 button rifling with recessed or counterbored muzzle. Finish is matte Mechanism has a gas operated rotating bolt, and a 8620 steel bolt carrier. The upper receiver features a thick walled, extruded from 7029-T6 aluminum, snag free design, smooth side look with no dust cover, no shell deflector and no forward assist. It also features a raised 16 slot raised Picatinny rail for easy scope mounting. The lower receiver is milled from a solid billet of 7029-T6 with a integral trigger guard standard AR-15 trigger group and aluminum magazine release button. Trigger is .300 smooth faced steel, and the photo specimen gauged at 7 pounds vicinity with moderate felt creep and minimal overtravel. Factory furnishes one alloy body factory magazine, capacity 19 rounds of .308 Winchester / 7.62x51 NATO ammunition, so 19+1 fully loaded capacity.
