Here is a superb example of a classic .30-06 rifle from the good old days! It's a Remington 721 (721B). Manufacturer date of 1950. This example has some wear to it that is consistent with a true hunting rifle. Bluing is at 85% and the stock shows moderate handling marks and scratches but no major gouges or chips. The bore is bright. Good luck!
