Description:
This excellent example of a pre war Model 12 Heavy Duck Gun with the solid rib and checkered trap style forend, ( I can provide a standard forend as well). This shotgun is in great shape for a gun that is nearly 75 years old. This Model 12 was built in 1940 with SN 825XXX. The solid rib was the only rib Winchseter offered on the early Heavy Duck version of the Model 12 to the best of my knowledge. This 3" mag gun has the correct red recoil pad on the butt stock. The metal finish retains 90-95% original deep blue, with only light carry wear and none of the common marks from take down and re assembly where the barrel mates to the receiver. The 30" full choke-bore is mint, bright and clean and the action works smooth as glass.
