Description:
A good example of a Springfield Armory Krag 1898 Carbine with a Sn of :218612. The American black walnut stock is very good, with minor field handling military use dings, and armory blue turning to soft grey/brown. Action is smooth and comes with a leather military sling. Bore on the 22" barrel is clean, shiny with strong rifling and some frosting down in the grooves common for military rifles that used corrosive ammo of their time. Still a potent caliber military round that was used as a deer gun for many a military man after leaving the service of the Span-am war! This is the last carbine model made without the saddle ring. The gun looks good to me, but I sell every type of gun made and haven't had time to specialize in any one type. We don’t have asite .I prefer money orders or a check. Item ships when funds come in.
