Holland and Holland, London. Superb “Take Down” Bolt Action Mauser action hunting rifle in .30 Super Magnum completed in 1955
Weight: 7 lb. 1 oz. without scope, 8 ½ lb. with original 9x scope numbered to the gun. Stock Dimensions: 14 3/8” LOP. Excellent 24” barrel of “Hykro” steel with mint bore. Original 9x scope serial numbered to the rifle with original quick detach mounts offset to the left to give clear field of view to use open sights with scope attached to the action. Fixed rear sight good for 50-200 yds. and single folding leaf to 350 yds. Hooded front sight with folding hood. Rifle retains most of the original finish throughout. Original walnut stock retains most of the original finish and checkering is crisp and un-retouched. Original maker’s case, complete with all original accessories and all original labels numbered to the gun. Lid marked “H H Kolhapur, India”, also with the initials, H. N.”. Overall a superb vintage rifle, in near mint condition, accompanied by copies of all the original Holland ledger entries including the range regulation notes.
