Serial number 6675, Boss & Co. 13 Dover Street, Piccadilly, London W.:  A Boss 12 Bore Sidelock Ejector Gun made in 1919 as a Pigeon Gun and so recored in the Boss book by Donald Dallas.  8" Chopper Lump barrels at .730 & .000 and .022" (Cyl & Mod) 3" chambers & proved accordingly with "LC" (long chamber) proof, 1 1/4 ounce proof, wall thinckness on both the right and left a .029".  The famous John Robertson Boss patent single selective trigger, this patent #11278 of May 30, 1905 which is the final & best real improvement of this trigger, spinter forend, straight hand stock at 14 1/2 x 1 3/8 x 2 7/16" over a 3/4" removable leather pad with plugs, cast -off for the right hand, rolled trigger guard edge for the right hand, 7 lbs 2 oz 97% coverage of very fine rise and scroll engraving cut by Mr. Jack G. Sumner.  The barrel striking is perfect and presently has 98% barrel blue and traces of case colors with a very nice patina.  The refreshened oil finish is at 96% with light handling marks only with 96% of the original checkering.  The barrels inside and out are excelent plus totaly free of pits.
