This is an EL-CHEAPO Winchester XTR .30-30 lever action pre-safety model . The cheapest on the internet!! The bore is bright and shiny, but the outside is disaster on Elm Street! A house fire in which a gun collection was stored left this gun scarred. The smoke and water damage attacked the metal. When guns are recovered from a damaged home the ape brained people that do the home restoration store the guns away without cleaning them first. The smoke and water has caustic mixtures that will attack the metal,so now you have the story. The butt-stock is very clean and not affected , the for-end has slight charring and finish bubbling but is very stable, not falling apart. Barrel of 20" and frame has about all it's blue. The right side of the frame has the most pitting and the loading gate looks weak. Barrel has splotches of barrel pits.Has factory sights and this is a shooting gun. just cosmetically ugly. this will sell fast. A good truck or camp gun.
