Description:
Winchester Model 12 – 12 Gauge S/N 1249156 built in 1950. This gun was bought by my father in Japan during his tour there after the war. He had a Japanese engraving craftsman embellish it with a factory like pattern and platinum mounted birds and dogs and a gold inlayed tail for the pheasant. An excellent field gun that both he and later myself used for many bird hunts. The condition is good with the expected wear the years have provided. There are two scars on the right butt surface courtesy of an ill-fated fall over a stone field fence while he was still in Japan. It does have the poly-choke on a 28” barrel. The original leather break down case is still in very good condition. There is a twin to this gun I am selling on listing 100502507. I would love to keep these beautiful guns together with an appreciative collector.
