COLT BREVETE MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER BY CLEMENT & RONGE FOR TURKISH MARKET. Serial number "112XXX' on frame, triggerguard and butt. Serial number "1046XX" on barrel. 6 1/2" octagonal barrel with "CAP SYSTEM MANUFACTURED BY RONGE & SON" with balance under some peen marks. Crisp 'Clement" marked cylinder with Brooklyn Bridge scene and "Clement Arms Co.". Excellent working order with strong mainspring. Excellent nipples. Same on original walnut grips. Butt stamped 'J NIKITITS-ERBEN" for an Instanbul agent's marking. Traces of original nickel plating on triggerguard. Excellent screws for one of these. Composite 1851 Navy made from two nice guns.
