Only a handful of examples known which are complete and unaltered. 19” o/a with .65 caliber 12 “ barrel having London Proofs at the left breech as well as a Government Ordnance “CROWN/4” proof at center breech. Stock stamped 6 times with the “CROWN/S” India Stores proof about the barrel tang. Lock signed “MOORE” and “CROWN/LION” proof. Daniel Moore was contractor to Ordnance 1772-80. Original full length stock with no restorations and all the original brass mounts. Original brass tipped wood rod and the original belt hook. Old brass strap repair to the back of the grip and a very old, slightly larger than normal, replacement barrel pin forward of the lock. All the original lock parts and absolutely in original flint condition. Type of pistol the Government Board of Ordnance armed the large Indiamen with during the period of the Boston Tea Party and the early years of the American Revolution.
