This is a new Remington Custom Shop 700 Alaskan Wilderness II Rifle in .338 Winchester Magnum with a 26 inch fluted barrel. All of the firearms that come out of the Remington Custom Shop are handmade with personal attention to detail. This rifle is aptly named after the Alaskan wilderness, the Remington 700 Alaskan Wilderness (AWR) II Rifles are as durable as Arctic winter nights are long. Custom-turned and -chambered, hammer-forged, fluted Model 700 carbon-steel barrel is incredibly durable and accurate. The blue-printed Model 700 carbon-steel action ensures receiver-face and bolt-face squareness and uniform locking-lug contract. The black TriNyte coating on the barrel, action and bolt consists of electroless nickel and a proprietary PVD. This armor-tough, multilayer coating is the world's most effective barrier against rust and abrasion for firearms, yet is only a fraction of a human hair in thickness. The X-Mark Pro trigger is tuned and set by the Custom Shop at 3.5 lbs. The rifle features a full-length aluminum bedding block, a machined-steel trigger guard and floorplate assembly, and a Bell & Carlson composite stock.
