Description:
Serial #280541, .22 LR, 6 3/4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a post-war pistol (made with external safety) that dates to 1948/49. The pistol has about 90% of the original blue finish remaining on the metal with some silvering at the muzzle and the majority of the loss occurring on the gripstraps which have a predominantly mild gray patina with faint spots of mottled freckling. There is mild silvering along the high and projecting edges but the breech face doesn't exhibit excessive battering from overuse. The checkered black "HS" resin grips are in fine shape with some minor surface marks and light wear (most noticeably on the left panel) as well as some minor flattening of the points. The pistol comes with a single two-tone magazine and is housed in a period brown leather H.H. Heiser belt holster in fine condition having only minor surface scuffs and blemishes as well as some minor crazing on the security strap and tarnish on the snap. The initials of a previous owner are lightly scratched into the leather on the back: "DHS". This is a fine hammer-equipped High Standard with a terrific Heiser holster and would make a very nice addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
