Description:
Serial #735926, .38 S&W (.38/200), 6? barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, extractor, yoke, and barrel and retains 92-95% of the original commercial blue finish with some minor silvering at the muzzle, some gray fading along the ejector rod, and further fading on the high edges and projections. There is a light turn-ring on the cylinder and the hammer and trigger have retained about 60-70% of their original color case-hardening. An off-center struck, Canadian ?C (Broad Arrow)? property mark is present on the left side of the frame. The checkered, diamond center, walnut, medallion grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and are in good shape with moderate flattening of the points as well as a few very minor chips around the butt. The revolver is housed in an original, 1945 dated, light blue R.A.F. canvasholster that has an ?M.W.&S. Ltd.? maker marking on the interior of the cover flap. The canvas exhibits some minor soiling throughout but is still intact and in excellent condition while the brass fittings, snaps, and cleaning rod are tarnished to a dull yellow-ochre patina. This is a fantastic Canadian military revolver in very good-near fine condition and comes with a desirable R.A.F. holster as well. FFL of C&R
