Description:
This is a Webley RIC#1 New Model ,Ser# 84814 .450 cal ,41/2" brl.Blue, 6 shot, thick style ejection rod,Silver and Fletcher # 390 .Silver and Fletcher' patent the Expert stamped on the top of the barrel.This is a very unusual and rare gun , This gun is Silver and Fletcher modified Webley. Not many were made this way. It is fully functional and it works perfectly as it was intended too.It locks up tight and has a beautiful bore and cylinder. The wood grips are also very nice with the letter 10 stamped on the left upper grip???? The Ser# of the gun and the Silver and Fletcher # are on the right side. No webley markings are on the left side except the cal, .450.which is correct.. The cylinder is numbered to the gun. The words s.w.silver and co. are on the top strap across the topstrap is a faint cornhill london address. There are some original blue areas on the gun with I believe to be blueing helpted areas in a lot of places. Possibly cold blue?? the only words on the gun that are thin is the top strap words. They are some what readable but are still there. Wear? probably, The trigger , ejection rod and other parts are polished steel ,in the white as they should be. Mechanically in excellent condition. I have tried the mechanics of it with non firing ammo and it does infact through the emptys out over your right shoulder as it should. It's a unusual piece and hardly comes for sale. It is in the Webley solid frame revolver book.page 75. by Black, Davis, Michaud. Still a very nice looking and functional Webley. .
