Description:
This is a very rare JD Moritz Rifle in 5.6x61 caliber. It is labeled "J.D. Mortitz Sohn Leipzig" on top of barrel with "Rochling Sonderstahl R7L" underneath that. It has very fine engraving on the action, Serial Number 8729, and scribed "Chr. Fieida Triebel, Suh" on the left side of the action. The serial number and cartridge size is stamped on the underside of the barrel. The bottom clasp is engraved and labeled "Org. Fabrique von Hofe 5.6 m/m Sup. Exp. No. 1363"
The stock is walnut and in excellent condtion with no scratches and very minimal imperfections. The checkering is very fine and clean. I have not seen another of these rifles for sale.
