14-143 MUZZLELOADING (PRE-1899) PISTOLS (FLINT)-LT.DRAGOON OR NAVAL FLINT PISTOL:
Belgian made Light Dragoon or Naval Flintlock Pistol, standard 8” barrel, 14 ½ overall this gun has an iron lanyard ring at the bottom of the Butt plate on the stock so that a cavalryman could attach it to himself or his horse. Brass furniture, including fore end cap and but cap. These were finished bright, i.e. no blue finish but a pleasant aged brown patina. Both lock & barrel have foreign markings probably military.
Condition: barrel and lock have very little corrosion, wood with a few small hairline dings; wood has normal small age cracks, dents, dings, chips, etc. Mechanically works fine. Overall very good.
