Description:
Serial #J4928, .303 British, 25? barrel with a very good-fine bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves. This is a 1918 dated rifle, refurbished for World War II, that has matching numbers on the added No. 4 bolt, nosecap, and forend. The metal retains 98-99% of the armory added black Suncorite finish that has flaked and silvered a small bit along the edges and exposed projections, as well as on the bolt. The walnut stock and handguards have been arsenal reconditioned to fine shape with some very minor scattered minor handling marks and small blemishes under the added oil finish and there is an unmarked stock disk on the right side. The rifle comes with a single, unnumbered 10 rd. magazine and is a very good-near fine example of a World War II reconditioned S.M.L.E. overall. FFL or C&R
