Barrels marked “Cast Steel” and being a 12gauge, this was obviously made for the American market. Most likely made in the early 1890s, it was made having the underlever break-open, exposed hammers, and no wooden forearm. Aside of being slightly loose at the breech, it appears quite usable with low pressure cartridges (after a complete safety check-up by a competent gunsmith, of course). Nice metal with a thin brownish patina, very decent wood with good wrist checking, much better than the average cheapie scattergun of that era. $215 SOLD Antique: Yes |
