Description:
Full custom Mauser 25-06 by the late Gary Stiles of Homer City, PA built on a double square bridged Mauser action. 24" barrel with Lyman banded ramp front sight. Square bridges are machined for Kimber rings holding a Leupold Vari-X-III 2.5x8 scope with duplex reticle. Jeweled bolt with McFarland bolt knob with five checkered panels. Blackburn trigger and bottom metal with straddle floorplate and trigger bow release. Three position side swing safety. Stocked in very fancy French Walnut with dark marblecake lines, a shadow line cheekpiece, and an outstanding fleur-de-lis checkering pattern. Ebony forend tip with widow's peak. Skeleton pistol grip cap. Two screw inletted swivel studs. LOP is 13 3/4" to an Old English pad. 8lb 3oz without scope and 9lb 2oz with scope and rings. Mr.Stiles was a member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild and a master craftman. This piece remains in nearly new condition with a few stock dings. All the bells and whistles and lots of eye appeal.
