Description:
#3823 Allen & Thurber standard size Pepperbox, 6-shot fluted barrel group of 4” length. Well marked with makers address on barrel and Allens Patent and 1845 date on the hammer. Basically a better-than-average specimen with good engraving, grips, markings and just minor nicks and bumps BUT it has a missing little internal pin between the sear and trigger that is causing the sear not to catch …thus, the action is not working. My mechanical gunsmithing abilities are only slightly better than my “master chef” cooking abilities (which are absolutely nil!), so I’ll leave this relatively easy repair to someone who can at least boil water! $465
