#1968 French Flintlock Cavalry pistol, large military pommel holster sized 69-caliber martial handgun with sidelock action and marked with what appears to be one of the three French arsenal makers …but too worn to make it out for certain as to which of the three that it is. Nine inch iron barrel and iron mounted bag style stock. The nosecap area looks to have had some possible damage and repairs, and it does NOT have a ramrod, which seems a bit unusual for a military style pistol, but does appear to have been made this way. Handsome and impressive large early 1800s flintlock pistol. About VG overall. $735
