#0571 Wilson Flint boxlock Pocket Pistol, most likely of British manufacture circa 1770-1820, brass barreled with slightly tapered cannon style muzzle and brass center hammer flintlock action. Approx 45-caliber. Flat sided bag stock with ornate wire inlay and in very nice condition. This type of boxlock small handgun was quite popular for both men to carry in their waistcoat pockets or for women to carry inside a hand muff during cold weather. Being made of brass, the wear to the metal engraving is more likely to occur than similar iron-made pocket flints, but overall it is still about VG++ to Fine condition. Very nice little ladies muff or gentlemans pocket gun of the early 1800s. $645
