Description:
Serial #272020, 7.5mm Swiss, 30 1/2” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, barrel, bolt, and magazine with the metal retaining 90-92% of the original blue finish that has silvered at the muzzle and faded to a dull gray along some of the raised surfaces and edges. The bolt is finished armory bright and the red-brown resin handle is intact. The wooden stock and handguard have an armory added oil finish over numerous small handling marks and minor blemishes but the Neuchatel markings are still crisp and clear on the comb (the stock number is 46151). The condition of the magazine matches that of the rest of the rifle and the action functions flawlessly. This is a great looking example of an 1896/11 Schmidt-Rubin, that has a fantastic bore, and no import marks. FFL or C&R
