Description:
This 1899 style bayonet is unmarked with metal surfaces a grey brown patina. Muzzle ring shows one small patch of oxidation pitting. Grips are in excellent condition with only a few small dings from use. Scabbard shows similar grey patina with brown spotting and a couple small areas showing light pitting. The attached leather frog is stamped "339" over indistinct oval stamp, frog is torn on back with an interesting period repair using leather and nails. A very good example of this hard to find Mexican bayonet.
