Colt 1st Model Martially Marked Dragoon. Made in 1849. Well above average 1st Model Dragoon! Nice sharp gun with a smooth dark gray patina mixed with original blue. Approximately 15% of the original finish remains in protected areas. Cylinder scene is very good. All numbers match. Grips still have visible cartouches. This is a Martial Dragoon from the third contract and lot of these guns went to Texas. In addition to cartouches are various inspector’s marks on different parts. Very nice gun and certainly in better condition than what you normally see!
