Hard to find a small ring 98 sporter, most were built on the common large ring. This one is unaltered and has never seen a scope. no extra holes, no altered bolt and no altered safety. It is just the way it was built way back when. It is Lightly engraved. Dark bore with strong rifling. barrel is 22 1/2 inch, weight is 6 pounds 6 ounces. no caliber markings on the barrel. Amazing how well these German rifles align themselve with the target. I've never had a custom rifle do as well. $599 plus $35 shipping. Lay-a-way available, no credit cards and no trades. I think a small ring 98 action alone with DST would be an easy $500 value to someone building a custom rifle.
