This is a very nice rifle with 20 inch blued barrel and Bushnell 3-8x40 scope.
The Recoil Pad is a Pachmayr "White Line"
This rifle is not on the recall list for Remington 700s according to a check made October 2014.
The following data was used in determining the model and year of manufacture and was all available from Blue Book of Gun Values via current subscription:
- Date code is EK which comes back to 1963 since there is no safety warning on the barrel (began in 1984) and was purchased prior to 2013. In addition the 20-inch barrels were only put on the 1962-1963 rifles.
- The lack of engraving on the Floorplate and Reciever.
- There is a hinged Flooreplate and black cap on fore end and pistol grip (not on the ADL models).
