This is a First Series Type 14 that is dated "16.2" it was made in February 1941. This pistol was manufactured under Nagoya supervision at the Nambu Rifle Manufacturing Company's Kokubunji Factory and is the Original Series, Third Variation. Tokyo Arsenal TO final inspection mark in the A position below the date on the left side of the frame. Frame, receiver, cocking knob, magazine safety, trigger-guard and trigger all have matching serial numbers. The Nambu retains about 80% of the original blue finish. There is some mild silvering at the muzzle and on the sharp edges. Has strong traces of the straw color finish on the trigger and safety lever. Both grooved wooden grips are marked "N" (as are many of the parts you can see in the photos) on the interior of both panels. Has original dark brown Type III leather flap holster that still is very supple, correct square brass rings, solid closure strap and spare striker pouch added. Stitching is coming apart in one small place on leather hinge, but does not appear to be moving. This also comes with an original Type 14 magazine.
