Description:
This is a new Winchester Model 70 Sporter Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation .300 Winchester Magnum with a 26 inch barrel. This rifle features a cold-hammer-forged free-floating barrel and with recessed target crown, making the Winchester Sporter able to provide tight groups and improved accuracy time after time. Featuring a pre-1964-style controlled round feed with claw extractor, these rifles fully control the cartridge from magazine to chamber and extraction. Plus, the forged-steel receiver with an integral recoil lug is bedded both in front and rear to eliminate shifting for pinpoint long-range shooting. It has the MOA trigger system with zero takeup and creep. A checkered Grade I walnut stock with a raised cheekpiece in a satin finish. A three-position safety shows safety status at a glance. The rifle also has a RMEF medallion on the grip cap, sling swivel studs, a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, hinged floorplate, jeweled bolt body, and a knurled bolt handle.
