Description:
This is a Webley RIC#1 4 screw transition.  It's in .50 calibre, a 5 shot cylinder. It has a 4 and 1/2 ' brl. The finish is as you can see mostly plumb and patina. I believe its from the 1870's. The bore is very good for its age with sharp defined lands and grooves but has the usual light pitting through out. The action is excellent. It locks up very tight in single and double action.there is no play or movement when cocked. Its a 5 shooter in .50 cal. The ser# is 13,358 , the webley factory markings are on the frame on the left side. There is a Retailer marking on the top strap, Liddle and Kaeding, San Francisco, They were a large gun retailer for webley. This gun has a nice one piece wood grip in excellent condition. The gun could have had some very interesting history as it was sold in San Francisco Ca. way back in the cowboy, gunfighter , gold rush days around the time the Colt  1873 single action was around except it was in the huge .50 calibre. according to collectors and authors there are around only (5) of these know ?? but it gives you some idea of its rarity.  Thanks for looking,  Call me anytime with questions, Tom  612 859 5673
