Custom Enfield Dangerous Game Rifle by Ray Atkinson. A 1917 Enfield action by Winchester; surface ground; drilled and tapped for scope; custom adjustable trigger at 3 lbs; holds 4 rounds down and one up for 5 rounds; cocks on the opening; Lothar Walthar barrel, barrel has an extra recoil lug under the rear sight; NECG front barrel band sight; island rear with one standing shallow V; Barrel band front swivel; rear English style swivel; Rifle was set up to feed 400 gr. Woodleigh PP's and GS Customs flat nose solids.Stock has the short English forend to accomdate the barrel band front swivel in its proper position, 13-3/4 inch length of pull to an English Silvers pad; checkered steel grip cap; wood is a 20 year old piece of real old world French walnut, checkered 22 LPI. Handles recoil exceptionally well and was very accurate and functional with test loads.
Rifle built in English/African style, and as a working rifle, tried to keep the cost down by not using the friviolous non functional aspects of gun building but keeping all the bells and whistles needed for an ideal working/hunting gun. Built for myself but health has become an issue so no longer need it.. Buyer pays actual shipping and Insurance costs. Lots of gun for the money.
