Description:
Parker VHE 20 Gauge SxS Shotgun
FULLY RESTORED, 6LBS., NICE ONE!

General Specs: Parker, Year 1917, 20 Gauge, 6lbs, Side by Side
Serial Number: 178981

Well, we are finally here.  ‘Tis autumn and time for chasing your favorite game bird with your newly acquired vintage Parker 20ga.. The question is, which one to buy?  Most all of the VHE Parkers available will have some faults to them; ie poor dimensions, repaired stocks, heavy for gauge, wrong chokes, short stocks with bad pads, or simply worn to the point they don’t even catch your eye.  This Parker, sn178981, is your gun.  Fully restored to historically correct new condition, and with great bird chokes and good shooting dimensions there is a lot to like with this fine shotgun.  Most who favor Parker doubles realize they are usually on the heavy side, with most 20ga. guns weighing between 6 ¼ and 6 ½ lbs.  That is not the case with this unique VHE 20ga, as it weighs just 5lbs. 14oz. and balances perfectly around the hinge pin.  This is the kind of gun you can hunt without worry of harming its value, as it has been properly restored once already with great bone and charcoal case colors.  Hunt it, shoot it, take care of it and it will be worth more money than what you  paid for it in a year or two.  The Parker is the most notorious, classic, vintage American double gun and the 20ga. is the one everybody wants.  No waiting for restoration work as it has all been done already.  Nice gun, nice investment.  If you need longer LOP we can add a pad without altering the butt end of the gun so you can put the butt plate back on if you so choose.  With our full time gunsmith we can alter the dimensions to your liking within 15 days of purchase.
