This rifle does not have the usual checkered steel butt, rather we have a grooved steel butt on a professionally modified stock, the pitch has been changed ever-so-slightly (presumably to make mounting the rifle quickly more easy and less likely to catch on outer garments) and this butt plate expertly fitted.
