THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC U.S. 1896 KRAG CARBINE in .30/40. Not a cut down rifle. Rear sight is marked 'C'. Stock is not plugged. Metal is very good, no pitting or rust. 22" barrel. Stock is excellent, no cracks, no visible cartouch. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny. Comes with original 3 piece cleaning rod and nickel oiler. Serial #708XX. As with any Krag the action is super smooth.
