Description:
Serial #81679, 7.63mm Para. (.30 Luger), 3 7/8” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a non-”GERMANY” marked, 1908 model pistol with all matching numbers that retains 90% of the original blue finish that has faded to gray along the exposed edges and projections as well as at the muzzle. There are some faded spots along the rear toggle link where some blemishes were cleaned long ago. There are some spots of dark freckling and pinprick pitting on the sideplate and on the take-down lever, trigger, and safety. About 80% of the straw color remains on the small pieces (mostly on the ejector) and traces of straw can still be seen on the magazine release. The hold-open is a replacement which binds against the frame and does not engage the bolt fully. The checkered walnut grips are unnumbered and are in very good shape with only minor flattening of the points and light surface wear on either side. The pistol comes with a single unmarked wood base magazine and is in fine condition overall; a very nice commercial Luger. FFL or C&R
