Description:
Serial #19955 (original #36180), 8 x 52R Siamese, 29" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves. This rifle, originally a Type 45, was converted from the original 8 x 50R Siamese chambering and has the ground rear sight with the metal having 85-90% of the blue finish remaining which has faded to a mellow plum-brown patina on the balance (especially on the bolt handle) and also exhibits spots of mild brown freckling on the barrel and other surfaces. The rifle still has the sliding dust cover and has a faintly engraved Arabic numeral serial number added to the left side of the receiver. The stock and handguard have a very dark oil finish with numerous handling marks and blemishes throughout as well as a with-the-grain crack on the rear of the handguard running from the receiver to the rear sight. The finger tab on the sliding stock trap cover is missing, as is the cleaning rod but the rifle still rates very good condition nevertheless. FFL or C&R
