Description:
Serial #RB3747, .303 British, 20" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an armory refurbished rifle with "M/47C" manufacturer's code (BSA Shirley) and retains about 50-60% of an armory reapplied blue finish that blends smoothly with a faded gray patina on the balance of the metal. The matching bolt has some further gray and there is silvering on the high edges and projections. A small and unobtrusive import mark is present on the underside of the barrel just ahead of the forend tip. The walnut stock with "Ishapore" stock screw is in very good shape and have minor handling marks and small blemishes marring the added military oil finish. A rack number is painted on the left side of the butt: "344". The magazine matches the condition of the rest of the rifle but is numbered to a different gun. This is a very nice looking, honest example of an Indian reissued No. 5 Jungle Carbine in fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
