ROOK RIFLE-UNKNOWN MAKER
This is a great little rifle that has NO makers name on it anywhere.It has an overall length of 43", barrel length is 27-3/4" with a LOP of 14". It was originally chambered in .25-20 and has been re-sleved in .22 rim fire. Rifle fires and is very accurate.Octogon barrel with no dents or dings. Rib has a matt type finish. Front sight is buck horn style. two folding rear leaf sights. Side lever functions perfectly and action locks up tight. Breech is an ejector style and ejects the spent shell very well. Minor engraving around various screws as photos show.Wood has very nice figure and fine line checkering on pistol grip and fore end and is in good condition.Plastic butt plate has a small chip in it.Pistol grip also has a plactic cap.Minor dents and handleing marks on stock as expected for a rifle of this age. This rifle breaks down just like a side by side does. Everything is very well fitting and goes back together very smoothly.
I have researched as much as I can and cant find another rifle out there like this. If anyone happens to know anything about this rifle I would appreciate any info at all.Im guessing at the value so if im way off, please let me know.
