British Infantry Regiment Helmet. South Wales Borderers, Great condition Cloth and leather Helmet , The fabric is black it appears blue on the photos but is Black, and in fabulous condition, The interior is green (sort of O.D. color) it is faded because of age and the leather band has vintage perspiration staining. The interior is in very nice condition and about a size 7 or so. The chain on the outside is long enough to be used as a shin strap.The nuts that hold the top metal to the helmet were missing two of the original gold collered nuts and were replaced with two older modern hex head ones to hold it all together. The metal on the outside is very nice and all intact. SWB were called that from 1881 until 1969. I dont know the vintage of the helmet as per year but seems to be quite old.
