Description:
Philadelphia Fox Sterlingworth (#3564xx) manufactured in 1919 in great condition. 16 gauge with 28" barrels. Good original bluing and some case colors. Tight action with lever well to the right and excellent metal/wood fit and desirable cap on pistol grip. Beautiful finish on wood with Hawkins pad. Excellent barrels with mirror bores. I sent this gun to Briley in 2014 for inspection/strip/clean/lubrication and updating. Chambers were lengthened to 2 3/4" with lengthened forcing cones. Chokes were opened to R .005 (Skeet) and L .020 (Modified). Safety converted to manual. Stock was also raised with current dimensions of 1 5/8 x 3 x 14 1/2 (to pad). All paperwork from Briley accompanies the gun. This is an excellent gun for quail/doves/grouse and a delight to carry.
